Late Additions: Extremely Rare and Unique Civil War Era 12ft solid Oak Saloon/Parlor bar complete with matching mirrored shelving back, copper cold drink/ice bin, and keg tap dispenser. Bar is from The Indian Queen Tavern or better known as the George Washington House, located at Baltimore Ave., at Upshur St., in Bladensburg, Prince George’s County, Maryland. It was constructed in the 1760s. The brick tavern began to be known as the “George Washington House” before 1878 when it was being used as a hotel and rumored that George Washington may have stayed there. This very bar was used to cater to the hotel’s guest, until it was removed from the tavern for renovations and bought by a prominent Washington, DC attorney. If only this bar could talk the stories it could tell. A true piece of history. It has been kept in storage until its unveiling this year.
